Author Guidelines

1. Language

Manuscripts may be written in English or Indonesian using clear, concise, and academically appropriate language. Authors are encouraged to ensure grammatical accuracy and consistency before submission.

2. Manuscript Format

Manuscripts must be prepared using the official BHATARA article template and submitted in Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx) format. The manuscript should use A4 paper size (210 × 297 mm) in a single-column layout. The title should be written in Times New Roman 16-point bold font, abstracts in 9-point font, and the main text in 10-point font with single spacing. The recommended manuscript length is 6–10 pages, including tables, figures, appendices, and references.

3. Title and Author Information

The manuscript title should be concise, informative, and accurately reflect the content of the article. Author names should be written without academic titles. Each author must provide institutional affiliation, country, and e-mail address. One corresponding author should be clearly identified and responsible for communication throughout the review and publication process.

4. Abstract and Keywords

Manuscripts must include abstracts in both English and Indonesian. The abstract should contain the objectives, methods, results, and conclusions of the study and consist of approximately 200–230 words. Authors should provide three to five keywords that accurately represent the main topics discussed in the manuscript.

5. Manuscript Structure

Research Article. Research Articles present original research findings and should consist of a Title, Author Information, Abstract, Keywords, Introduction, Literature Review, Research Method, Results and Discussion, Conclusion, and References. The manuscript should clearly explain the research background, objectives, methodology, findings, and scientific contributions while demonstrating originality and relevance to the journal’s focus and scope.

Research Report. Research Reports present the results of applied studies, organizational practices, policy implementation, innovation projects, community-based initiatives, field activities, or multidisciplinary development programs. Research Reports should consist of a Title, Author Information, Abstract, Keywords, Introduction, Context and Objectives, Methods or Activities, Findings and Outcomes, Impact and Evaluation, Conclusion, and References. The report should emphasize implementation processes, practical outcomes, lessons learned, and contributions to economic, social, organizational, technological, or community development.

6. Tables, Figures, and Equations

Tables, figures, charts, photographs, and illustrations must be clearly presented, numbered consecutively, and cited within the manuscript. Each table and figure must include an appropriate title or caption. Images should be of sufficient quality for publication. Equations should be formatted consistently and numbered sequentially where applicable.

7. References

References should be relevant to the topic discussed in the manuscript and derived from credible scholarly sources. Authors are encouraged to prioritize recent literature from national and international journals. Each manuscript must contain a minimum of 10 references and follow the American Psychological Association (APA) 7th Edition citation style.

To strengthen academic continuity and scholarly communication within the journal, authors are required to cite at least two articles previously published in BHATARA, provided that the cited articles are relevant to the topic, methodology, theoretical framework, or findings presented in the manuscript. Citations should be used appropriately and contribute meaningfully to the scholarly discussion.

8. Submission

Manuscripts must be submitted through the BHATARA online journal management system. Authors are responsible for ensuring that the manuscript complies with the journal template and author guidelines before submission. Manuscripts that do not conform to the formatting requirements may be returned to the authors for revision prior to further editorial processing.
