Complaints and Appeals

The Indonesian Journal of Computer Science Research (IJCSR) welcomes appeals against editorial decisions and complaints concerning the journal’s editorial management and peer-review processes. All appeals and complaints will be handled fairly, objectively, and confidentially, in accordance with the journal’s editorial policies and publication ethics.

Editorial Decisions

Authors may appeal an editorial decision if they believe that the decision was based on a misunderstanding, factual inaccuracies, methodological concerns, or significant errors in the evaluation of their manuscript. Appeals must be supported by clear justification and relevant evidence, such as additional data, new information, or specific responses to the comments provided by the editor and reviewers. Submitting an appeal does not guarantee that the original decision will be changed.

To appeal an editorial decision, authors should submit a formal appeal letter addressed to the Editor-in-Chief via the journal’s official email address, available on the Contact page of the The Indonesian Journal of Computer Science Research (IJCSR) website. The letter should clearly state the manuscript title and submission ID, explain the reasons for disagreeing with the editorial decision, and provide specific evidence supporting the appeal. Authors may also identify potential technical errors in the reviewers’ assessments or provide relevant evidence of a possible conflict of interest.

The Editor-in-Chief or an appropriate editorial representative will review the appeal and determine whether further assessment is warranted. Where necessary, additional independent expert advice may be sought. The outcome of the appeal will be communicated to the author, and the decision following the appeal will be considered final.
